Vassalboro—The Eagles varsity golf team finished up the season with a respectable eighth place showing at the state championships at the Natanis Golf Club in Vassalboro.
The Eagles were edged out of the seventh spot by one stroke, finishing at +114 to Penobscot Valley’s +113. Mattanawcook won the title with a +35.
Percy Zentz hit a 92, with Tyler McKenney and Stephan Simmons hitting a 100. Daktoa Chipman hit a 100, and Nick Norton a 124.
