The Eagles varsity runners are deep in the season, as they head to Lincoln for the Penobscot Valley Conference Championships on Saturday.

They enter the championship season with a strong showing at the Pendale Invitational meet at Hermon last week, where the girls  team took first, the boys took second, posting several runners with top-ten finishes. John Hassett (16:30:63) and Eliza Broughton (20:14:41) both took second, racing against more than 50 runners.

Eastern Maine Class C Championships, on October 24, will be a little closer to home than the PVCs, at Troy Middle School in Belfast, followed by the state championships on October 31 at Cumberland.
