GSA girls got shut off from their search for a tournament title by Van Buren on June 6 in Blue Hill, losing the semifinal match 5-0. This is the second straight year that Van Buren—always untested by the Eagles until the tournament—pushed past the higher-ranked Eagles in the post season. The girls had posted a 3-2 win over Fort Kent in the quarter finals, with first singles Sophia Chen, second singles Adrian Van der Eb and first doubles Abbey Frost and Lindsay Nevin dominating in their matches.
