Four local varsity basketball players held court at Orono High School on March 3 as part of the Penobscot Valley Conference All Star teams. Deer Isle-Stonington senior Jared Gove and George Stevens Academy senior Kelsey Allen faced off on opposing teams, as did GSA seniors Megan Nowland and Alice Dillon. They joined a line up formed from the best high school seniors from Eastern regional teams. Allen, who helped drive the Eagles to the play-off quarter-finals at the Cross Center in February, was also named Maine McDonald’s all-stars roster and will compete in the all stars game at Husson University on March 14.
