The George Stevens Academy Eagles softball team, ranked ninth, lost its bid to go deep in the playoffs when #8 Sumner notched a 17-5 win in wet conditions on June 9. The loss followed a 18-11 win over Deer Isle-Stonington and, in the final ergular season game, a 13-0 shut out by Bucksport on June 4. They finish the season with a 5-12 record.
