Blue Hill—The George Stevens Academy baseball team recorded a 5-3 comeback victory over the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners in Deer Isle on May 7.

The Eagles let up three runs in the first three innings and were unable to score a run, trailing 3-0 entering the top of the fourth.

The offense chipped away at the Mariner lead and GSA was eventually able to come all the way back for the win.

The defense was able to dig in as well, holding the Deer Isle-Stonington batters scoreless through the final three innings of play.

That win came off a 2-6 loss to Bucksport on May 2, as the bats for George Stevens were cold through most of the game.

Austin Snow, Garrett Parker, Ethan Vinall and Benjamin Parker all took the mound during the game.

The Eagles are 5-2 and sit in fourth place in the Class C North standings entering the second half of the season.
