Blue Hill—The Eagles softball team is on the hunt for a win after losing Friday, April 27, to Central 2-17 and the following Monday to Dexter 0-14 for a 0-3 record after a losing start to the season against Mattanawcook the week before. Results against Wednesday’s game at Bucksport were not available by press time, but it would be hard to picture GSA upsetting the 2017 Class C state champions who have an early hold on the top spot in Heal Point standings.
But things may start looking up. The Eagles have faced some of the tougher teams in the 14-team division to start the season, and they are still firming up playing positions under returning Coach Stormi Wentworth. Scheduled games this week bring them up against Class D Deer Isle-Stonington on Monday, Class B Mount Desert Island on Wednesday and, on home field, against Orono on Thursday. Any results in the win column will give a boost.
