Blue Hill—In three sets that were played more competitively than their scores indicate, the George Stevens Academy varsity volleyball team fell 0-3 to fourth-ranked Narraguagus but never gave up on team spirit.
The set scores were 0-25, 16-25, and 13-25 but no set seemed a sure loss until close to the end as the Eagle girls showed their strength, encouraging one another and celebrating each point won.
With only four games left in the season and standing at 0-10 after the loss to Narraguagus, the Eagles sophomore varsity season is winding down. With a roster filled mostly with freshmen and sophomores, next year could well end with a different story.
