Deer Isle—The girls tennis team lost to Orono 5-0. In the singles, Orly Vaughn lost 8-0, Marissa Judkins lost 8-5, and Emma Plummer lost 8-0. In the doubles, Lily Gray/Addie McDonald lost 8-1 and Rylee Eaton/Jill McDonald lost 8-6.
The girls beat Sumner 5-0 and 5-0 to up our record to 4-5. The individual results were not available in time, but we now are in 8th place and if we can stay there, we will be in the playoffs.
The boys tennis team lost to Orono 5-0. In the singles, Devon Emrick lost 8-5, Dakota Emrick lost 8-2, and Ben Penfold lost 8-3. In the doubles, Mason Plummer/Oskar Mattes lost 8-3 and Ennis Marshall/Ian Cust lost 8-2.
The boys beat Sumner 3-2 and 5-0 to up our record to 4-5. We are in 7th place in a log jam of 7 through 9 and will need another victory to claim a good spot in the playoffs.
