BLUE HILL—With 11 strikeouts from the mound, Eagles pitcher Beckett Slayton kept at bay a late-innings comeback by Washington Academy as George Stevens Academy baseball team scored a 3-2 win at home on Friday, May 13.
The Eagles scored in the second and fourth innings for a 3-0 lead, with Tyler Snow pacing the offense with two singles and an RBI. The Raiders scored one run in the sixth and one in the seventh innings to inning to edge them closer but the Eagles prevailed, are now in the top Heal Point Standing spot, with a 9-1 record, heading into today’s game at Orono.
