Mariner goalkeeper Ethan Shepard saved 13 of 20 shots as the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners played to a 2-0 loss at Searsport on September 17. After a win over Sumner two days earlier, the Mariners are 2-3.
The Mariner girls are still searching for a win after falling 6-1 to Searsport at home. Ashley Haskell scored in the second half, with goalkeeper Sadie Rice saving 10 of 24 shots. They are 0-4 for the season.
