All athletes start out small, and the Junior Eagles, invited to George Stevens Academy on January 23 for a meet ’n greet with the varsity girls and boys basketball teams, are no exception. The recreational basketball program, headed by volunteer parents, helps young athletes have fun, enters them in the Ellsworth YMCA youth league, and perhaps even starts them on the path to being future Eagles.
