Deer Isle—The girls soccer team lost their first game to Searsport 3-0 on Monday, September 9. Coach Esther Adams stated we played a solid defensive game, with only a few breakdowns. We held our own in the field and we will be working on being more aggressive on offense.
This is our first chance to play as a team. With so many new positions, it will take time to put it all together. It’s hard to portray our effort without any statistics, but Coach Adams felt we were much better than the score would indicate.
With three games in the week ahead, the girls will be challenged to put their training to the test.
