On January 2, the Mariner men’s basketball team broke a losing streak when they posted an 84-73 win over Curry College in Massachusetts for their first victory of the season. They are now 1-10 overall and 0-4 in New England Conference games.
The women’s team made it to the finals of the Hat City Classic at Western Connecticut December 30 where they lost a close 75-71 championship game. They are 2-2 in conference games and 5-4 overall.
The Mariners host Husson University on Saturday, January 6. Tip-off for the women’s game is at 1 p.m. and at 3 p.m. for the men’s game.
