Blue Hill—The George Stevens Academy varsity boys soccer team is 5-1 three weeks into the season, with its sole loss to Mount Desert Island its second game in.

This past week saw the Eagles take out Washington Academy 5-1 and Houlton 2-1, both teams currently ranked in the middle of the Heal Point Standings with a chance for payback against MDI Friday, September 27, at home and to match skills with perennial rival Orono (5-0-2) in an away game the next day.

The only Class C team in the north that has the Eagles’ record beat so far is Sumner at 5-0, but the Tigers have yet to be tested against another top team, and with the two teams not scheduled to play in the regular season, they can meet only in the playoffs in October.

Friday’s home match begins at 4 p.m. and Saturday’s start time at Orono is noon.
