BLUE HILL—The George Stevens Academy varsity boys soccer team ended the regular season in style with an 8-0 win over Dexter on October 13.
Their 8-6 record earns them a preliminary playoff game in Limestone on October 21. Despite a record better than the three teams ahead of them in the Heal Point Standings, they end the regular season ranked 9th in the Heal Point Standings because their wins came against lower ranked teams.
A win against #8 Limestone Community School/Maine School of Math and Science means a quarterfinal played closer to home, in Orono, and a repeat of last year’s quarterfinal, which the Eagles won. The Orono Red Riots are ranked #1 with a 13-1 record.
