Blue Hill—With the regular season in the books, George Stevens Academy varsity girls soccer team is ranked fifth, guaranteeing them a spot in the post-season quarterfinals.
The girls will face #4 Penquis Valley, in Milo, which edged them out for the home field advantage that comes with the fourth-place ranking. The Eagles end the regular season with an 8-2-4 record.
The quartefinal winner likely will face #1 Orono in the semifinals, barring a major upset. The only two games the Eagles have lost this season came from Orono.
The girls ended their season with two strong wins: 2-0 win over Sumner on October and a 4-0 shut-out against Dexter on October 16.
