Mariner boys tennis team wins, girls lose in doubleheader Scott's Sports Spot

Deer Isle—The girls tennis team lost a double header to Calais 4-1 and 4-1 on May 11 in Calais. In the first match, Jordyn Judkins lost 8-0, Emma Plummer lost 8-1, and Marissa Judkins lost 8-2. In the doubles, Orly Vaughn/Riley Getto won 8-4 and we forfeited the second doubles.

In the second match, Jordyn Judkins lost 8-1, Ariel Larrabee lost 8-0, and we forfeited the third singles. In the doubles, Orly Vaughn/Riley Getto won 8-6 and Emma Plummer/Addie MacDonald lost a close match 9-8 (8-6).

The boys won their double header with Calais 4-1 and 5-0. In the first match, Devron Emrick won 8-4. Rodrigo Cespedes won 8-2, and Mason Plummer lost. In the doubles, Ennis Marshall/Ian Cust won 8-3 and we won the other doubles by forfeit.

In the second match, Devron Emrick won 8-1, Rodrigo Cespedes won 8-6, and Cullen Cochrane won 8-4. In the doubles, Ennis Marshall/Ian Cust won 8-1 and we won the second doubles by forfeit.
