Sullivan—The cross country team went to the Seacoast Invitational and Brendan Penfold was the top runner of the meet with a time of 17:57, which now becomes the course and meet record, as this is a newly made course. Brendan’s rival John Hassett was not there, though George Stevens did compete as a team.

Trevor Cochrane ran 39th, Ian Cust 40th, and Benjamin Penfold 45th out of 53 varsity runners. SooZin Cha ran her first race this year and came in 37th.

This weekend, we will compete in the Festival of Champions race at the Belfast course. This is the course for the regional and state meets this year, and there will be 73 teams running in this race. It is a big scholastic event as runners come from as far as New England and Canada.
