Blue Hill—In their fifth game of the season, the George Stevens Academy varsity boys soccer team scored early, and then continued to score for a 6-1 victory over Sumner on home field on September 20. It was their second win over the Spartans this season.

After GSA scored within the first minutes of the match, Sumner quickly tied it up. But the Eagles quickly penetrated the Tigers’ defense at the goal, for a 2-1 lead, and the Eagles never looked back.

Taylor Schildroth scored twice, including a free kick, with Ethan Vinall, Trent Williamson and Chris Bennett contribuitng to the 6-1 victory.

Following a September 16 9-1 win over Dexter, GSA stands at 4-1 in early season games.The team takes home field on homecoming Saturday, September 24, where they face off against Washington Academy (4-0) at 1 p.m.
