The boys tennis team followed up a 3-2 loss to the then-undefeated Orono team on May 6, by winning a doubleheader over Calais the next day.
Against Orono, Cameron Wendell won 8-6 in singles, and in the doubles, Marvin Merritt-Justin Eaton won 9-7.
The boys then swept Calais 5-0 and 4-1. In the first game singles, Cameron Wendell won 8-1, Devon Emrick won 8-4, and Brantly Emrick won 8-5. We won both doubles matches by forfeit.
In the second game, Cameron Wendell won 8-1, Devon Emrick won 9-8 (7-3), and Brantley Emrick lost 8-6. Again, we won both doubles matches by forfeit.
The boys are 6-2 and in fourth place, though the standings are early and not many points separate most of the teams. If we can keep up our good play, we can possibly get into the playoffs with a home match.
