DEER ISLE—The Mariner varsity girls and boys basketball teams faced up to Class C Bucksport on Thursday, December 17, and fell—but the girls redeemed their season with a win against Greenville two days later.

The boys lost to Bucksport by a wide 68-34 margin,  with Ethan Shepard leading with 16 points.
