A persistent lack of wind delayed the start and shortened the number of races to 10 over both days in Castine Harbor on May 17 and 18.  When the wind did pick up enough to begin the first race it died before the finish, leaving a jam of C420s with no way to cross the line. Teams from 16 high schools across Maine and New England participated, with the Eagles top team coming in 11th and its “B” team 16th. The Yarmouth team took home trophies for the top finish and for the top Maine team.

The Eagles’ first A-boat team of  Karina Steenberg and Cedar Slagle finished sixth in their 20-boat fleet, with the B team of skipper Yvonne Rogers and crew Dillan Morey’s best finishes at 3rd and 10th.
