The Mariners hosted George Stevens Academy on February 3 in a game postponed twice in the final week of regular season play, and secured a 43-41 win in the final seconds of the game. Trailing by one with less than one minute on the clock, the Mariners scored and then cemented the win when senior Holli Boyce sank a foul shot with six seconds left. The Class D Mariners end the regular season at #14 with an 8-10 record. They will face #3 Fort Fairfield on February 10 in the playoff prelim game played in Central Aroostook for a chance in the quarterfinals. The Class C Eagles saw their ranking slip to #9 after three straight losses to finish the regular seasons, including another two-point loss, this time against #7 Central on February 7. They finish the season at 9-9 and ranked ninth, and will travel to Lincoln to face #8 Mattanawcook on February 10 for their playoff prelim game. A win there will send them to the Cross Center in a quarterfinal game against the number one team, Narraguagus.
