Mariners play two at home with mixed results, face Machias on Monday

The girls won and the boys lost when the Mariners hosted Bangor Christian on Thursday, January 15. The girls controlled the game from start to finish, winning 44-18. The boys posted a 63-38 loss, giving up 19 points in the third quarter after holding it close in the first half.  Mason Oliver led  the team with 10 points. But both the girls and boys fell to Shead on Saturday, January 17 at home. The boys lost 47-34, while the girls lost by five for a 47-42 final score.

Cheer on both teams on Monday, January 19. when they host Machias. The girls start at 12 p.m. with the boys tipping off at 1:30 p.m.

The girls are 5-8 for the season, with their 13th ranking still keeping them in contention for post-season play. The boys are not looking as good, at 2-11 in the # 20 spot, with a handful of games left to play.
